3rd Commandment

June 27th, 2008 by

“Do not have any other gods before me.”

Why did God not say that earlier? Why did he say that about 2000 years ago? Maybe because nobody invented him earlier? What does Ra think about that? He was there earlier.

Oh yeah well you see there were no societies other than that of Jesus’s culture before 2000 years. We all started from Adam and Eve right….

Yeah I’d love to hear what the Norse, Aztecs, and Celts think about that.

I can’t see any change in the life now and 2000 years ago. God now and then is the same and nothing has been changed. Why God said that? Because we think that there were other creatures with other GOD so he said he is God of all creature now and before.

Ah, but this is just one God’s commandments, not others.
There were many Gods before the God of Christianity and the Old Testament if you choose to believe in them, and I just happen to. I am one of those goofy messed up agnostics who believe in higher powers, but not specifically the one God of the Bible.

it is very philosophical and difficult to know that why it is so.

I have always wondered about this one, cause I believe he later says that he is a jealous God and that is the reason for that commandment. I cannot put my finger on why he would be jealous as God. Hopefully we get some clarification soon.

I think indeed the bible is misguiding in many ways. Think of how we all in church is guided by the priests to live in piece with eachother, and then think again of the part from the bible where the allmighty god did let the sky rain with fireballs and rocks over peoples hometowns because they were’nt obidient to his command? Chill out is my comment to god.
